Case Study:
Qikiqtaaluk Corporation

The Challenge

Building Connections Across the Qikiqtaaluk Region

Qikiqtaaluk Corporation (QCorp) serves as the for-profit arm of the Qikiqtani Inuit Association, with a mission to foster economic development and facilitate meaningful connections between Inuit-owned businesses across the Qikiqtaaluk region. QCorp needed a dynamic and accessible website, one that could serve as both a business directory and a centralized hub for employment opportunities, corporate resources, and essential documentation.

Connecting Inuit Businesses

To reflect the strength and scope of QCorp’s network, we developed a comprehensive business directory featuring approximately 30 affiliated companies. A custom-built sorting and filtering system allows users to intuitively browse companies by category or interest. Each company page provides overviews, including historical background, service offerings, and current employment opportunities.

Centralized Resource Hub

Supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs is at the heart of QCorp’s mission. To make key resources more accessible, we built a dedicated resource center where users can find critical information on applications, grants, and partnership opportunities. This central hub supports economic empowerment and encourages sustainable development within the region.

We Delivered

Empowering Through Information

To ensure users stay informed about the latest regional updates, we created a localized news and job postings section. This space offers a real-time connection to community developments and employment openings, supporting both transparency and opportunity for residents and stakeholders.

Bilingual Accessibility: Inuktitut & English

Language inclusivity is essential to meaningful communication in the Qikiqtaaluk region. We worked closely with the QCorp team to ensure that all employment and business-related content is fully accessible in both English and Inuktitut. This commitment to bilingual accessibility supports regional growth, cultural preservation, and equitable access to opportunity.
